OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

The Quality Advisor provides guidance and advice in regard to the effective management of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC), delivering quality management and improvement support to all projects and Functions within the designated area of responsibility.

He/she provides support to the relevant Quality Manager and his/her team in the maintenance and control of processes, procedures, work methods and initiatives in support of the Company's overall Quality strategies.


GENERIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
  • Focal point for QA/QC matters, providing a support function to project management, ensuring that they have adequate resources and QA/QC input.
  • The Quality Advisor ensures the implementation/compliance and alignment of all quality programs, policies, processes, and procedures
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of risk-based audit process and responsible of audit execution (both internal and external).
  • Managing non-conformities, facilitate the root-cause analysis corrective actions (RCCA) process, and ensure effective implementation of solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Work in conjunction with Supply Chain Management, Engineering and Operation to assess, manage and develop suppliers’ quality aspects, ensuring that quality requirements are well defined and understood by suppliers.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Continuous Improvements of the Quality Management System.
  • Responsible for the co-ordination, preparation and delivery of Project Quality Plans and will provide support and input to tendering process as directed.
  • Provides support on the development and maintenance of Quality Management System within the Region/Business Unit and supports Project Manager and Quality Manager in the implementation of the Business Management Systems.
  • Assist and advise project personnel in all matters relating to the application and implementation of the company management system on projects, ensuring appropriate levels of quality surveillance, inspection, and control with applicable areas of project execution and delivery.
  • Utilize the knowledge management tools to assist Quality to capitalize from Lessons Learned and to perform in accordance with best practices, striving to mitigate risk, promoting repeatability, safety and integrity consistently.
  • Drive and provide quality awareness within projects and suppliers (Workshops, Talking Points, trainings, etc.).
  • Support and promote our commitments to Safety and the Importance of Quality in influencing success of our Safety commitments.
  • The Quality Advisor may be required to fulfill a Senior Quality Advisor role in small projects.
  • Develop and mentor resources to meet business needs.

AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONS
 
  • Operate within the Code of Conduct.
  • Operate according to Management Principles.
  • Support standards and procedures for the HSEQ Function.

KEY QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
 
  • Experience of the subsea, offshore or a related industry.
  • Broad depth of Quality Management knowledge.
  • Good level of general education required, preferably supported by a diploma/degree in
  • Engineering/Quality Management.
  • Broad understanding of Subsea products and operations.
  • Technical quality experience/capability.
  • Certified lead auditor qualification.
  • Willing to travel both domestically/ internationally onshore /offshore up to 30 % of the time.

The Service Provider shall be responsible for following up on the Subsea (SPS & UFR) valves supply ensuring quality and on time delivery. 

Responsibilities: 
• Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour concerning H3SE, implement H3SE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility, and comply with H3SE training requirements for the position.

The Service holder is responsible to follow up, expedite, ensure quality and adherence to the specifications of the SPS & UFR valves:

The Service provider will supervise the day-to-day activities of Valve supplier and witness the supplier activities during the fabrication works. The Service Provider will also:
• Assess and monitor the Technical Qualification Program and ensure all technologies employed for the SPS & UFR valves are qualified for the intended purpose and conditions

The activity takes place in the context of the execution phase of a major project in Suriname. The technical challenges the GPI / Project will face are the reservoir development and management, FPSO, and subsea production/injection system. The Suriname Team will develop the Project with the objectives of maximizing economic results by optimizing the reserves, and the schedule, reducing the costs and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission, while maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high H3SE requirements and focusing.

Job Description:
The Environmental Manager is the custodian of the Environmental responsibilities of the project. You will work closely with the other H3SE teams, project management, engineering, and construction teams, as well as other key internal and external stakeholders to support achieving the company’s environmental commitments.
You will ensure the work is carried out using safe working practices and is completed in accordance with the project codes, standards, drawings, and specifications and to ensure that the pipeline, AGIs, EITS and other facilities are constructed in compliance with the approved ESIA (Environment and Social Impact assessment), ESAP (Environment and Social Action Plan), BAP (Biodiversity Action Plan) and ESMPs (Environment and Social Management Plans), as well as the relevant national and international legislation and standards, and project’s policies/procedures.
Given that environmental monitoring of major construction projects including oil and gas pipeline is a developing field in in Uganda and Tanzania, it is expected that the Environmental Manager will be visiting construction sites in the field providing support, training, and capacity building to the site-based environmental teams.

Activities:
  • Environmental management of the entire project to ensure the project is executed in accordance with Project Environmental Standards including Uganda and Tanzania regulatory requirements (where applicable), company’s standards, applicable international performance standards (IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles IV, World Bank EHS guidelines and other related best practice e.g., GIIP).
  • Interface with the Project Management Team to ensure that the Project’s Environmental requirements & commitments are well understood, and that necessary resources, process and mechanisms are available to enable compliance.
  • Act as lead interface between Company and Contractors team members regarding environmental management, compliance, audits, monitoring and associated activities, providing environmental regulatory advice as required.
  • Participate & provide input to the development of Contractor Control Plans (CCP), Contractor Implementation Plans and Procedures (CIPP), oversee contractor implementation of ESIA, ESMP, ESAP, BAP commitments and other related project documents.
  • Work with Contractors to ensure environmental plans, procedures and method statements are suitable, and monitor implementation to ensure compliance.
  • Provide environmental advice and solutions related to aspects such as environmental permitting/licensing, waste management, air quality, noise, hazardous materials management, soil management, erosion and sediment control, water quality, waste, and rehabilitation etc.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Project Environment Verification and Assurance Program and develop additional tools (if necessary) to support the implementation of such.
  • Build and maintain strong and solid working relationship & engage with management representatives and, construction team.
  • Participate in project Go/No-Go, and Environment reviews for project mobilization.
  • Review and approve of Contractor’s submitted project environmental documents, such as Method Statements, EMP, SOP’s and WMS etc.
  • Ensure any environmental design mitigations are captured in CONTRACTORS EMP and related procedures.
  • Actively participate in the company audit and self-assessment program for environmental compliance.
  • Attend regular scheduled project meetings as required and verify Environmental metrics and KPI’s table.
  • Support internal, government (NEMA and PAU for Uganda, and NEMC for Tanzania), private/third party, and lender Audits as necessary.
  • Owner of environmental data collected from the field. Establish and manage robust environmental data management systems.
  • Provide on-going QA/QC of environmental data and reports, e.g., contractor environmental monthly reports.
  • Environmental performance reporting as needed (e.g., daily field reports, environmental performance reports, verification, and assurance etc.).
  • Responsible for ensuring all environmental incidents are managed in accordance with project’s Incident Management System.
  • Provide Environmental inputs into local staff training and capacity building.
  • Ensure Environmental Optimum Requirements are integrated in the HSE-MS of company contractors.
  • Contribution to the emergency (Oil Spill) response preparedness during construction.

Qualifications:
  • Master of Science degree (in Natural or Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Biodiversity Conservation, Natural Resource Management, or Environmental Engineering) with at least 15 years environmental management experience in the construction and extractive industries, preferably oil and gas, onshore pipeline & related facility scopes are essential.
  • Previous environmental experience in the construction industry is essential, for large scale projects for international clients.
  • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) including the ability to articulate Environmental concerns and solutions with teams consisting of individuals with various technical and educational backgrounds.
  • Good environmental field experience and knowledge of company’s standards, applicable international performance standards (IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles IV, World Bank EHS guidelines and other related best practice including Uganda and Tanzania regulatory requirements (where applicable).
  • Good track record of working experience with lender financed projects e.g., WB, IFC, EBRD, ADB, AFD, KfW, AfDB, EIB, Standard Bank, Standard Chartered etc.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of ISO 14001, ISO 31000.
  • Knowledge of Uganda and Tanzania regulations desirable.
  • Experience working in African countries especially East Africa is desirable but not compulsory.
  • Experience in analyzing environmental data to report accurate KPI’s and potential non-compliance status back to the project management team.

Key Responsibilities and background:
The Process Commissioning Lead is responsible for the preparation and execution of process systems commissioning. Coordinate all other disciplines to achieve full completion of subsystems, defining the strategy and ensuring relevant procedures and documents have been prepared.

  • Responsible for the safe and timely execution of all Commissioning activities and integration of these activities with both Project and Operations.
  • Report daily progress and work scope completion ensuring all issues, identified risks and concerns are clearly communicated and addressed.
  • Cooperate and support the Operations team in the execution of Start-up activities.
  • In coordination with the CMT Lead, prepare and organize the progressive Transfer of Operation and Maintenance of the facilities to CPY Field Operation Team (TOM Dossiers, Electrical isolation, As Commissioned documents etc…)

Critical Skills & Personal Attributes:
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
  • Substantial experience in Oil & Gas industry with similar large-scale projects & environment as Process Engineer.

Qualification:

Key Accountabilities

The role of the Commissioning Manager will be to protect the Owner's interests during Completions, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Start-Up, and Initial Operations. Responsible to support and oversee the main EPCC Contractor in preparation and execution of the Turnover plan, according to the defined Commissioning Sequence for the Project.

Key Accountabilities:

* Gauging tanks for sale or transfer of crude oil and water
