Our client is seeking a Principal I&C Design Engineer to work within their facilities located in Richland, WA, for a 1+ year assignment.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform highly complex engineering analyses and designs in support of operations, systems, programs, audit inspections, and assessments requiring skills and experience gained through application of engineering methods and analysis, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as an advisor providing advice and counsel on assignments concerned with specialized or unique engineering requirements.
  • Provide technical direction and leadership routinely to other engineers; serve as a mentor.
  • Identify need and initiate development of new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives.
  • Assure compliance with regulatory and industry guidance.
  • Identify potential problems in design, quality, or operation and initiate corrective action following plant Condition Report (CR) process
Required Skills:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support the owner's typical project cost and schedule control functions as required by the Project Manager.

- Support the preparation of comprehensive and accurate cost reports, using data from the owner's systems and information provided by the contractor, including an appropriate level of analysis to ensure a “no surprises” approach.

- Controlling costs through the different phases of the project with an appropriate level of detail (e.g. pile installation, foundation installation, tank erection, installation of auxiliary systems, tank testing, etc.).

- Closely monitoring cost and schedule performance against project baselines to ensure objectives and key performance indicators are met.

- Early identification of potential impacts on cost and schedule objectives.

- Monitor contractor performance and results against contractual obligations to ensure compliance.

- Prepare daily progress reports on quantities installed and overall status of work.

- Monitor contractor reports on equipment, personnel and materials to be charged.  Ensure that rented equipment is returned as soon as possible.

- Monitor and check progress and approve contractors' progress reports at least weekly to ensure that the value of work done (VOWD) invoiced corresponds to actual progress in the field.

- Reviewing contractors' reports and invoices for accuracy and ensuring that they are in line with the contracts.

- Monitor progress on the ground by the Contractor to approve achievement of key schedule targets associated with the contract incentive plan.

- Verify final installed quantities used in final invoicing and closeout.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or other relevant discipline.

 

- Experience in quantity surveying and project control in projects or operational roles.

- Experience of working as an owner's/client's representative.

  • 25% Administer EPC contract and responsible for managing contract obligations. Responsabilities

  • Coordinate and manage the construction and safety of projects to verify they are installed in a safe manner that meets CLR standards and all applicable codes.
  • Communicate with the facilities engineers and other CLR personnel. Participate in weekly conference calls.
  • Supervise and support 3rd party companies to meet project deadlines. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating to obtain missing parts and equipment, coordinating with other parties onsite to form a plan to minimize delays in the construction schedule, identifying potential project roadblocks, and problem solving to find solutions
  • Inspect materials that are delivered to site to verify they are correct per CLR standards and free of defects.
  • Complete daily Siteview reports including: costs outside of the bid, bid % complete, manpower onsite, daily summaries, weather, etc.
  • Communicate with the facilities engineer, contractors & CLR representative about any required change orders, and obtain written approval from the facilities engineer.
  • Inspect poly fusing and review fuse reports to verify proper installation.
  • Inspect welding quality and coordinate 3rd party x-ray.
  • Redline project documents and submit the final redlines and pressure test records to the facilities engineer at the end of the project.
  • Provide support for development and updating of technical standards and best practices
  • Support safety incident investigations and hazard evaluations
  • Participate in project walk through/PSSR and verify action-items are completed.
  • Participate in project commissioning and coordinate repairs with the contractors as needed.
  • Hold the contractors accountable to keep the site tidy and cleaned-up of trash. Coordinate for dumpsters to be picked-up when they are full. Verify the site is cleaned-up before the contractor is released from the project.
  • Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with all applicable Federal, State, and local Inspectors and Authorities, as required.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with any landowners and follow any agreed upon requests they have
  • Review all applicable ND One Call reports.
  • Coordinate with survey to stay in compliance with State requirement

Qualifications

  • Five (5) or more years of recent applicable inspection experience

The ideal candidate will be reporting to the Senior Head of Laboratory, being a key member of the laboratory team. The laboratory technologist will assist in developing, validating, and implementing laboratory test methods to support lab sample testing for operational support.

Key Responsibilities
  •  Follow all lab safety protocols and contribute to maintaining safety and address safety issues when they arise.
  • Perform day-to-day activities such as performing routine and ad-hoc testing of process samples and finished product certification.

KEY ROLE

The Technical Assistant supports the Unit Leader and Squad Leads to plan, organize and implement activities that support the effective working within the Unit and interactions with other disciplines and teams to achieve the annual plans and objectives.

The role is based in Baku, Azerbaijan and is an office based position supporting the Project Operations Unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES

Responsibilities of Administrative Assistant
  • Diary management and co-ordination for the Project Ops Manager (POM) and members of the team.
  • Scheduling of meetings, organize travel and logistics and provision of general administrative support to team members.
  • Manage logistical arrangements for events, set-up and support on-site/ off-site meetings and conferences, including meeting room bookings (meetings include teleconferences/video conferences and telepresence), setting up catering, transportation, material preparation etc., collation of materials/packs, managing distribution of materials.
  • Manage phone inquiries and correspondence with external contacts.
  • Prepare expenses for approval and tracking E-Expenses to resolve issues when needed; raise admin-related shopping carts.
  • Prepare letters and respond to external parties on behalf of POM, as needed.
  • First point of contact for internal and external customers; assist visitors with local transport, office requirements etc., as necessary.
  • Partner with other Assistants on local/ global teams to provide cover when needed.
  • Responsible for assisting the central team with administrative and clerical matters where required.
  • Special projects and other supportive duties as requested such as organizing team building events, etc.

  • Arranging/Coordinating/Tracking site related training and inductions.
  • Training tracker management and coordination of training and competency program for Operations team: working with relevant talent and learning department on arranging classroom-based training both generic and site related ones.
  • Manage training related logistics and documentation.
  • Creating and managing team training certificates data base.
  • Leading regular meetings with relevant talent and learning department with site team leaders on training requirements alignment.
Responsibly of Start Up Assurance Coordinator 
  • Managing requests from Start Up Assurance process members on Administrative support of Start Up Requirements Tool and Assurance site.
  • Tracking SUR closure progress and arranging follow up and support sessions.
  • Providing Administrative support on main Start Up Assurance process events including travel, logistics and meeting support.
  • Arranging Certification sign up meetings at certain stages of project.
