Contract: Initially this is a two-year fixed term contract starting Summer 2021.
Salary / Package: Between $5k-$8k/month all in rate, negotiable depending on experience.

Together with their members, this organisation creates training standards in basic safety and technical skills which technicians are required to complete so they can build, install, and operate the world's wind energy fleet. Standards help industries work more efficiently and effectively. Industry Recognised Standards are taught in over 380 certified training centres located in more than 40 countries around the world. By the end of 2020, almost 100,000 people had a valid training record.
The Global Development and Stakeholder Relations (GDSR) is a unit of the businesses’ secretariat. It is responsible for a collection of strategic programmes which will deliver the necessary improvements to help reach our breakthrough objectives. These include accelerating the process of training provider certification, increasing our global brand awareness, growing our membership base and expanding the reach and effectiveness of our regional committees in North America and China, while establishing similar groups in other growing wind power markets across Asia/Pacific and Latin America.
Therefore, the successful candidate will play a significant role in the GDSR unit by establishing a presence in the Asia Pacific Region. They will connect local and regional training providers with employers developing wind energy projects and support the growth and adoption of the standard training there. This candidate will work closely with the GDSR Communication Projects team and build partnerships with local industry associations, helping deepen the links the business have with markets in Asia Pacific. They will establish and facilitate a pioneer presence, hosting regional committees and working groups led by our member company representatives in Asia Pacific, focused on growth and adoption of the business’ standards for a safer and more productive workforce in wind.
Key Responsibilities and background:
Work closely with the companies’ members, GDSR communication project team and the secretariat to deliver targeted improvement priorities, encouraging increased training provider certification across Asia Pacific markets (Excluding China).
Supported by improved global brand awareness and communication project campaigns, generate qualified leads, and help guide businesses towards completing their accredited certification.
Establish and facilitate regional committees to align local representatives of their member companies in their common interest to ensure a safer and more productive workforce.
Be representative at a regional level, promoting the companies’ value proposition, standards portfolio, certification, and governance framework.
Help to align the company narrative to meet local expectations and reflect cultural nuances.
Critical Skills & Personal Attributes:
Minimum 5 years within training, safety or HSE market, preferably in Wind. Knowledge of QHSE topics is desirable
Degree educated in a relevant business, economics, or marketing communications discipline (or international equivalent)
Ability to combine strategic vision with tactical hand-on execution, and a high work capacity.
Organised, flexible and service minded, highly analytical with excellent written and verbal skills
Excellent interpersonal skill with the ability to build working relations both internally and externally.
Fluent or native English speaker – written and oral
Additional language skills desirable – Japanese, Korean, Malay or Bahasa Indonesian
Expert user of Microsoft Office
A pleasant person overall, well grounded in healthy values and with good interpersonal skills. You know the importance of communicating constructively, and even when you don’t know the answer to a question, you take the time to assist the person seeking an answer.
