VP Finance & Corporate Affairs
FINANCE
- Effective management and reporting of all accounting and finance activities including Accounts Payable, Receivable, Revenue & Expenses, General Ledger, and Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Full control of Inventory and its valuation, Fixed Assets, and related depreciation
- Review control reports from TL to ensure integrity of Accounting and Treasury transactions
- Ensure monthly internal control and closing checklists are completed and comply with policies and procedures
- Provide advice and guidance on TL controls and procedures, instilling good habits and reinforcing best practices where possible
- Practice and promote sound financial controls in all day-to-day activities and challenge areas of non-compliance
- Monthly and quarterly reporting of performance results to Management and Head Office
- Coordination, preparation and presentation of long-term plans and annual budgets
- Reviewing, monitoring, and maintaining of budgets
- Full control of credit management in line with policies and procedures
- Treasury: Develop a reactive treasury monitoring and reporting system that allows liquidity, funds availability and roll-forward forecasting of treasury needs
- Coordinate external & internal audits, ensure interim and year-end audit is conducted efficiently and closed out on time. Draft, finalization of audited financials
- Full control of insurance policies in line with organization guidelines
- Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations with relevant authorities (Registrar of Companies and Investment Promotion Authority)
- Ensure compliance with all tax obligations. Prepare, review and filing of Income tax returns, GST, Group tax and all other withholding taxes
- Develop good business rapport with vendors and establish professional ethics with the vendors
- Review and implement change request, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and in line with best practices
- Comply with Group HSE Charter & the Organization HSEQ Policy internally as well as with external stakeholders
- Meet Yearly HSEQ Objective set out in EIA
HSEQ
- Principle Champion for One Maestro Principle 2
- Compliance with Laws, Regulations, & Group requirements
- Lead in the development & maintenance of the Principle’s framework, process, procedural requirements for pre & post audit
COMPLIANCE OFFICER
- In charge of all compliance activities internally & externally
HR
- Manage HR matters with MD (recruitment, payroll, training, office management)
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- A qualified accountant with a degree in Accounting/Commerce with a minimum of 10-15 years relevant work experience (CPA desired)
- Advanced level of computing with experience with the core SAP Financial modules (or other ERP systems) and Microsoft packages particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Sound understanding of the oil industry systems and Finance requirements internally and externally
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and leadership skills with the ability to work well with people at all levels and of different ethnic backgrounds and age groups
- Excellent analytical skills with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
