Our client is looking for a Dispatcher to work within their facilities in Charleston, SC on a 6 months contract (with possibilities of extension) on a 5/40 work schedule.
Position Overview:
The main function of the Dispatcher is to coordinate warehouse related activities for inbound and outbound products.
Responsibilities:
- Work with shore-based logistics personnel to ensure proper coordination of equipment and personnel.
- Communicate with sales, procurement, warehouse team, suppliers, and customers to ensure orders are shipped on-time and in-full.
- Review inbound orders to verify bill of lading matches quantities received and perform goods receipt.
- Assign and confirm warehouse tasks for forklift operator picks, putaways, and bin consolidations.
- Maintain accurate warehouse storage locations by inputting package specifications, addressing issues, and updating SAP in a timely manner.
- Verify customer orders include all required documentation and labels prior to shipping.
- Assist with quarterly inventory counts.
- File/scan sales order documentation in accordance with retention schedule.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED/equivalent required
- 3+ years of experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Associates Degree or higher preferred, but not required
- Prior oil and gas industry experience preferred, but not required
Education:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED/equivalent required, Associates degree or higher preferred
