One of our major Oil & Gas clients is looking for a TSP Technologist/Research for a six-month assignment to work in Calgary, AB.
Responsibilities:

Perform sample analysis and physical tests on polyethylene (PE) plastic film, molded parts, and resin pellets using a variety of specialized instrumentation and laboratory methods.

Contribute to continuous improvement of quality and reliability of test results.

Contribute to the operation-related maintenance and housekeeping of the Physical Test Lab and testing equipment.

Initiate and contribute to projects for the continuous improvement of safety, quality, testing efficiency, and team processes.

Help maintain effective team/lab operations.
Qualifications:

Any of the following diploma programs: Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, Materials Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology, or equivalent industry experience, or post-secondary training and experience in a mechanical trade.

Background in plastics testing would be beneficial.

Required to have excellent attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot.

Must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable asking questions when uncertain.
