We are looking for a Subsea Control Engineer .
Paris La Défense (France) then within the main SPS contractor premises after contract award (Europe)
Development studies for Angolan Blocks 20 & 21 are performed by the GEDI group (Integrated Development Study Group), which is a multi-disciplinary and dedicated structure, acting on behalf of the Affiliate (TOTAL E&P Angola) in accordance to Headquarters processes in terms of methodology and governance. This choice is justified by project context, field complexity and the overall project schedule (Fast -track project, 5 years from farm-in and operatorship transfer to First Oil).
Management and Engineering:
Maintain a sound knowledge of Subsea production control system (SPCS) related Company Rules & Specifications and international standards; ensure that all applicable requirements are duly implemented and satisfied
Ensure, throughout all the project phases (FEED phase/CFT phase/detailed phase) that all engineering activities related to the design of subsea production control system performed by contractors, subcontractors or other parties comply with project’s objectives/requirements, standard and Company rules.
Ensure that all aspects having consequences on SPCS design are suitably addressed during the project phases by timely reviewing and validating the relevant documentation issued by contractors (CFT phase: clarifications, qualifications - detailed phase: technical documentation, queries, derogation requests), and raise subsequently comments, highlighting deviation, unacceptable or unjustified design choices.
Ensure alignment with FPSO on ICSS interfacing details
Ensure that the SPCS equipment designs will ensure safe, environment friendly and cost-effective operations. Participate and contribute to relevant engineering reviews (HAZID, HAZOP …)
Liaise with relevant HQ entities and request assistance when required
Contribute actively to Quality Reviews, Projects Reviews and, whenever necessary present results to the team or to the partners
Supervise and control of development and fabrication activities (qualification and test programs if any, inspection, factory acceptance tests).
Supervise and control the installation/integration activities of the SPCS equipment, define and organize commissioning activities and hand over to FPSO’s operation teams.
Follow Contractors’ performance in accordance with the contractual requirements in all areas related to Subsea production Control system
Liaise proactively and implement a fruitful coordination with various internal stakeholders including DW/SBS, DW/INS, TEPA, HSE department….
Liaise permanently with other SPS technical engineers and other B20/21 packages (SURF/FPSO/drilling…) to ensure adequacy and consistency of the overall subsea production system design
Reporting & Communication:
Regular Report, Issue progress reports and study reports
Ensure confidentiality of all the documentation produced
Advanced expertise with regards to HSE, implemention HSE rules and requirements within his/her area of responsibility
Advanced expertise in process engineering linked to on large oil & gas project and Subsea Control Engineering
The service will be performed in English within a multicultural context
