Job description
• Inclusive administration of OS Systems including Servers, Workstations and VMware with a focus on security, continuity and a keen understanding of risks when working on these critical systems
• Domain management including Active Directory, users/computers/groups and group policy
• Plan and support tasks related to a full control system migration that is technically complex and within critical areas of the plant infrastructure.
• Provide lifecycle management and planning for all cyber assets in the DMZs, and Process Control Networks (PCN).
• Provide project management for sustainment projects
Minimum Requirements:
• Experience with process control systems and information management systems in an industrial environment
• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science
• Experience managing technology lifecycle, planning and executing system migrations
• Demonstrated knowledge of networking fundamentals – switching/routing/vlans
• High level of experience with Microsoft security concepts, active directory, group policy, including configuration and security for Windows 10, 2012, 2016, and 2019 servers.
• Solid understanding of cyber security policies and practices
• Experience migrating and upgrading system infrastructure
• Experience with virtual machines (VMware)
Preference for:
• Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities under tight deadlines
• Strong leadership skills when communicating process control systems and network concepts to diverse groups with various levels of understanding and experience.
• Experience with Process Control Systems (Yokogawa, Honeywell)
• Prior experience with CISCO, DELL, and HP environments.
• Experience with Acronis, Solarwinds, and McAfee
• Familiar with process safety risks, process hazard analysis, and layers of protection analysis
You will use your expertise to:
• Maintain, monitor, and improve the security, reliability, and performance of the PCN, and DMZ infrastructure assets.
• Continuously improve existing processes and procedures for supporting internal stakeholders.
• Implementing new projects and support migration and upgrade efforts
• Ensure that all cyber assets are maintained as per recommended procedures and practices. Patches and hotfixes are applied regularly.
• Ensure that database backups are maintained as per procedures, and disaster recovery plans and regular testing happens to manage risk.
• Work with Enterprise technical team to ensure site systems comply with corporate Cyber security requirements
• Provide senior technical expertise ensuring solutions to complex problems are viable
• Performs security assessments and provide recommendations for existing configurations.
• Schedules and coordinates systems maintenance activities
• Works with end users or lower-level staff to achieve common goals.
• Provides system analysis/troubleshooting by reviewing logs and working with application teams on production issues.
• Leads projects for infrastructure and systems upgrades/implementations.
Downtown Calgary based, but occasional travel to sites. 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
