Duration - Initial 1 Year Contract
Our client is currently looking to welcome a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their diverse project team, based in the CBD offices. You will be working in partnership with a Tier 1 client to provide all-round comprehensive Geotechnical investigation and design services, to ensure a smooth project delivery process. This position is a balance of technical design and mentoring, working closely with the passionate Geotechnical and Environmental specialists.
Responsibilities
- Communication of complex geotechnical issues to the workforce, technical team and management.
- Be involved in geotechnical reports at various stages of project development.
- Contribute to the delivery of projects, ensuring work outputs are of a high technical standard.
- Client relationship management including externa stakeholders and contractor personnel.
- Assist and oversee statutory and ownership reports as required to ensure accurate Geotechnical data.
- Actively identify and manage geotechnical risks.
Required Experience
- Relevant Geotechnical or Civil tertiary qualifications and extensive background.
- A clear understanding of regulatory requirements and broad range of experience working on a variety of mining, infrastructure and earthworks projects.
- The ability to demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and mature judgement in anticipating and solving complex problems.
- Demonstrated experience working on multidisciplinary brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Ability to work independently and grow a technical team.
Familiarity with software packages such as Glnt, Plaxis, slide, GRLWeap and GIS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree of Civil/Geotechnical Engineering minimum, MSc preferred (must be eligible for chartered status with Engineers Australia).
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience within Australia.
