Airswift is working with one of our major clients to find a Senior Contracts Advisor to join their team on a 1-year assignment in Calgary, AB. This person will be responsible for providing life cycle management of Projects Contracts from creation, revision, and maintenance to close-out.
Responsibilities:
- Execute procurement best practices for sourcing activities, ensuring these practices are in accordance with all relevant regulations.
- Develop Project or Scope specific Contracting Strategies and Contract Execution Plans in support of Gate reviews and Project execution.
- Provide oversight of Engineering & Procurement (E&P) Contractors in managing Project Contracting activities
- Execute Pre-Award activities for main project services:
- Develop EOI / RFI and evaluation criteria in support of scope specific bidders prequalification
- Coordinate the evaluation of EOI, bidders prequalification and shortlisting and the development of Bid Evaluation Criteria and Plan (BECP)
- Develop the appropriate commercial compensation structure for the Scope of Work (SOW) and conform the Request for Proposals (RFP)
- Issue the RFP and Manage the Bid process
- Coordinate the evaluation process per BECP
- Develop and Prepare negotiation plans and Conduct negotiations
- Prepare award recommendations and Route for appropriate financial and commit authority approvals
- Issue Awards, onboard contractors and coordinate Kick-off meetings
- Conform the contracts and Route for execution by authorized personnel
- Prepare Contracts Briefs
- Execute Post Award Contracts Management and support the management of Contractors Relationships:
- Compile data to assist in periodic reviews of Contractors' performance
- Support management of Contractors NCRs in accordance with the NCR process
- Manage and Report on approved contract values and spend against Approved Contract Value to ensure governance.
- Work with Contractors to resolve day-to-day issues and expedite resolution;
- Contracts Close-out and contractors off-boarding, and coordinate Contractors performance feedback per the Supplier Lifecycle Management requirements.
Qualifications:
- Undergrad degree in an Engineering, Technical or Business discipline (post-secondary education)
- Masters degree in Engineering, Project Management or Business Administration would be an asset
- Minimum 8-12 years of overall experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience on projects
- A background in Oil & Gas projects
- Strong Commercial and Business acumen
- Strong communication and Negotiations Skills
- Collaborate working relationship with all Projects stakeholders to drive best value, mitigate Commercial/ SCM risks, and mitigate disputes or claims against the project
