Airswift has been tasked by one of our major semiconductor manufacturing clients to seek for Senior Chemical Engineer to work within their facilities located in Singapore for a permanent position.
As the Facilities worldwide operations and Chemical engineer you will be responsible for providing technical support, expertise, and lead business process alignment on operational and maintenance programs for the facility Chemical/Slurry systems at all front and back end sites.
As a global team member residing in your current site/geography, you will represent all facility O&M alignment initiatives. You will also support the design and construction team providing critical operational and maintenance design input and support construction projects as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Expert understanding of each sites Chemical/Slurry systems operational and maintenance capabilities in order to provide critical support.
- In addition to your global Chemical engineering role you will also provide site/regional support for global facility initiatives at your location.
- Technically lead a global cross functional team focused on operational excellence with the site Chemical/Slurry systems engineers.
- Provide support to all sites including on site presence for critical failures.
- Actively involved in TPM implementation and alignment along with ongoing support for Chemical/Slurry systems.
- Drive improvement in the quality of our utilities through variation reduction (SPC).
- Drive the alignment for common methodologies including SPC, conformance, SIPP’s, MOC and 8D problem solving throughout the network.
- Identify and deploy cost reduction efforts while optimizing and reducing energy usage for Chemical/Slurry systems throughout the network.
- Assess and insure effective and consistent PM and predictive maintenance programs, procedures and checklists across the network.
- Regular communication with the site engineering and O&M teams on status and performance.
- Analyze and benchmark equipment performance.
- Identify and develop training and certification programs that support global and site efforts
- Develop appropriate metrics to drive improvement (On time PM’s, MTTF, MTTR etc.).
- Send out regular updates with key items of focus and initiatives.
- You will review FIPA/METS events and provide recommendations to drive the reduction of critical Chemical/Slurry impact events.
- Collaborate with the construction / engineering team to insure alignment on projects.
- Review site sustaining capital requests in collaboration with construction/engineering.
- Identify and execute BCP projects to improve the site operation.
- LL sharing to network to prevent re-occurrence.
- Actively follow all key FRI items progress.
- Weekly and Monthly Report to leaders and network on the key program and Events.
- Support the network effort to implement, monitor and drive continuous improvement for success of Micron’s Sustainability programs in alignment with the long-term Sustainability strategy.
- Benchmark system performance and drive Best-In-Class approach (BICs) across network.
- Provide technical advice and support to overcome challenges and roadblocks in project planning & execution.
- Support sustainability projects achievement data acquisition and validation in central tracking depository.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required, Master’s Degree desired.
- Minimum 8-year experience in Chemical /Slurry System engineering experience
- Semiconductor Chemical and Slurry Distribution system and equipment.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule workload and work on multiple tasks concurrently
- Good organizational skills and Service attitude
- Excellent communication skills and good team working skills, English required
- Self-motivated worker
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and facilities systems
