Senior Asset Management Consultant - CSO
We are looking for a Senior Asset Management Consultant for one of our top energy clients. This position will be a fully remote, long term contract.
Our client is aggressively growing their Digital Asset Management and Operations business to support both internal and external clients. This business combines leading technology capabilities with inherently deep engineering knowledge of assets and strong domain expertise in asset management and operations. Through this combination of capabilities, we help reduce costs, control risks, and improve whole life asset performance of critical infrastructure and other assets that we and our clients operate.
The Role & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be someone with solid experience in asset management and reliability engineering in the industrial asset manufacturing, mining, utilities or pulp & paper industry, in sites recognized for their reliability best practices, and who have proven experience delivering quality work for clients and can hit the ground running.
Require the successful candidate to have a strong understanding of and experience in Work Management/Field Service Management and associated software applications.
About the Role:
- Deliver consulting services to our client’s sites
- Up to 75% of the work time to be performed at the client site
- Mostly in North America
- Successfully lead projects whilst maintaining excellent client relationships
- Design and implementation of Maintenance and reliability business processes and systems
- Development of Asset Management strategies and tactics
- Application of Reliability Engineering processes and principles
- Experience in Asset Lifecycle analysis is an advantage
- Provide consultancy services to the designated clients in line with skills and competencies outlined above
- Take on the responsibilities of Team Leader and/or Project Lead supervising other consultants as and when required
- Participate in maintenance audits as when required
- Standard and timeliness of the provision of service to clients
- Compliance with company policies, procedures and standards
About you
- Bachelor’s degree, Qualified Mechanical engineer
- Experience in Asset Management consulting is a must
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams to achieve desired outcomes
- Understanding and working knowledge of standards such as ISO5000
- Proven prior experience as an Asset or Reliability Engineer
- 7+ years of experience in industrial asset manufacturing, mining, utilities or pulp & paper industry in sites recognized for their reliability best practices
- Thorough understanding of mobility software service applications & Asset Management strategies and supporting processes
- Experience should extend to the use of software which support the following processes:
- Job Planning
- Job Assignment
- Job Scheduling
- Job Dispatch
- Job Execution
- Job Completion and Associated Process (Time, Material, Documentation etc.)
- Experience in supporting external customers and their mobility software service applications & Asset Management needs
- Experience in collecting Customer requirements and translating them into functional designs for a workable solution
- Experience in Developing Use Cases and Business Processes related to mobility software service applications & Asset Management
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules to participate in calls across time-zones with international project participants
- Must be able to work in an unstructured and fluid environment (assist to develop project methodology and processes while project is ongoing and evolving)
- Background as planner/scheduler, supervisor, reliability engineer, superintendent or manager in both operations and maintenance
- Experience in building asset maintenance strategies using RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) principles
- Ability to lead, plan, execute and review plant major shutdowns and to use Shutdown Gantt charts software
- Experience in facilitation of defect elimination programs, including: RCFA, FMECA and RCM methodologies
- Competency in the development and implementation of key performance indicators required for the proper management of our client’s businesses
- Demonstrated competency in training, coaching and auditing
- High level interpersonal skills together with effective communication skills
- Well-developed written and oral skills in English
- Computer and MS-Office knowledge & skills
- Knowledge of a variety of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a must
- Some familiarity with one of the major commercial off the shelf Asset Performance Management (APM) platforms (e.g. Lumada, AssetSuite GE, IBM, SAP, AVEVA, Asset Suite WM, Aspentech, etc)
