One of our major Oil & Gas clients needs a Scheduler for their office in Houston, TX:
Responsibilities:
- Schedules and coordinates movement of natural gas to meet contractual obligations.
- Complete daily and monthly nomination deadlines
- Timely and accurate path of daily activity in the gas management system (EKA).
- Work closely with accounting to resolve rate and volume discrepancies.
- Provide trading with accurate and timely notice of operational developments including imbalance positions, capacity availability, and pipeline operational status.
- Coordinate nomination process with Upstream production staff to ensure daily/monthly nominations are accurate.
- Monitor, track and report promptly, estimated/allocated quantities and resulting imbalance levels by contract and points.
- Manage monthly imbalances to confirm contractual rate accuracy and verify cash-out position.
- Access various electronic bulletin boards “EBBs” on various pipelines to input scheduled volume in the applicable pipelines scheduling system.
- Manages pipeline imbalances to minimize financial exposure to gas pipeline imbalances and platform imbalances.
- Provides Production Marketing and Operations with pipeline updates on upcoming gas pipeline operational issues or downtime.
- Assist in providing monthly gas avails to third-party producers and purchasers before the new production month.
- Approves natural gas transportation invoices
- Evaluates and ensures accuracy of natural gas transportation rates and updates rates upon annual rate escalations.
- Responds to pipeline vendor payment requests by following up with AP to check the status of transportation invoice payments.
- Works with the marketing team on various oil and gas special ongoing projects.
- Monitors and tracks gas daily pricing for the marketing team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must have strong written and verbal skills (English language)
- 5+ years of natural gas scheduling experience.
- Prior experience scheduling Haynesville area, including midstream and downstream pipeline.
- Preference for those with working knowledge of Clearfork, KinderHawk, Enterprise, DTM, Acadian, Gulf South, Tiger and Enable.
- Good understanding of pipeline operations and market, plus knowledge of FERC rules and regulations.
- Experience with EKA and pipeline EBB operations
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
