Intent – Provision of deep Rotating Equipment Engineering expertise and judgement in service of the asset equipment. Working as part of the Regional Maintenance Squad to ensure efficient resolution of any issues that require discipline engineering input. Ensure pragmatic solutions are implemented for execution of maintenance in support of safe, reliable and compliant operations.
Education – Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Experience – Substantial experience and technical understanding of engineering, maintenance and operation of rotating equipment in oil & gas processing facilities. Knowledge of governing codes, industry standards and local regulations relevant to rotating equipment, and proven ability in practical application of engineered standards and practices for rotating equipment. Experience of planning and execution of maintenance activities for all types of rotating equipment including Gas Turbines, Compressors, Pumps, Diesel Engines etc..
Responsibilities – Provides Rotating Equipment engineering expertise to support own squad for the delivery of maintenance execution activities. Supports Facility Support squad as required with resolution of reliability and operational issues. Develops workpacks, sources and procures materials, and supports risk assessments for Control of Work preparations. Develops critical equipment repair procedures and makes recommendations for sparing strategy for rotating equipment. Records relevant learnings following completion of execution activities to ensure the organization learns. Deliver quality assurance verifications of equipment repairs and installations, to ensure continuous improvement and defect elimination.
