Our client is a SaaS company that provides an Industrial IoT platform, leveraging physics-influenced AI models, plus closed-loop control to enable autonomous operations. As a result, we are an instrumental part of the climate technology evolution and a market leader in production optimization for the energy industry.

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will report to the Senior Director of Technology with the objective of assisting in the development and execution of tests for software and hardware products. This is a manual testing role using industry standard testing tools with potential for automation. You will:
? Work independently and as a team member to deliver a successful product to market
? Review and prioritize development work ready for testing
? Create and execute test plans for system modifications in preparation for deployment
? Regression testing of existing functionality
? Document defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
? Monitor bug resolution efforts and follow up when necessary
? Provide updates in stand-up meeting and articulate issues to the team
? Organize and document completed work for planned releases

SPECIFIC SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
? Understanding of testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle
? Experience testing web user interfaces and micro-services
? Experience writing test documentation such as test plans, test results, and bug reports
? Experience with REST API testing (Postman, SoapUI)
? Exposure to testing tools (JIRA, Quality Center, Target Process, Trello)
? Familiarity with development tools and languages (GitHub, JavaScript, Chrome Dev Tools)
? Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing
? System logging tools such as DataDog or Loggly
? Knowledgeable with SQL and non-SQL databases an asset
