Airswift has been tasked by one of our clients, a major Oil and Gas company, to seek a Project Director / Senior Project Manager to join them for a long-term contract in Houston, TX.
Working location: Houston, TX or Pittsburgh, PA.
The project manager will lead the technical project execution incl. studies and implementation of various types of Low Carbon Solution projects from the early phase to start-up
Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective and efficient project implementation in accordance with the project agreement.
- Ensure adequate maturation of the scope of work and recommend procurement and implementation strategy.
- Manage and report safety, sustainability, schedule, plans, cost, and risk for assigned projects.
- Ensure quality in decision-making and that necessary quality and risk management activities are carried out.
- Provide oversight and direction to the project team to achieve project deliveries and milestones.
- Ensure efficient management of suppliers and contracts.
- Collaborate with partners and external stakeholders to manage project scope and risk.
- Provide reports and engage with management and other internal key stakeholders on a project.
- Demonstrate commercial thinking and ensure value creation throughout the project.
- Ensure transfer of experience to/from similar projects and encourage learning and improvement.
- As a project manager, you are responsible that the project team:
- Delivers according to project agreement and applicable capital value process.
- Covers necessary subjects and competence to deliver a project as agreed.
- Has clear deliveries and guidance to achieve project milestones.
- Identified and managed risk according to procedures.
- Follows the decision-making processes in the company.
- Implements the appropriate technical requirements and experience transfer from similar projects.
- Ensures adequate maturation in each phase before a decision.
- Implements quality assurance according to project agreements and the relevant processes in the Company.
- Establishes project plans in accordance with project agreements and contributes to the project portfolio plans being correct.
- Engages key personnel as appropriate, including legal, procurement, safety representatives/user representatives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Senior Project Manager with relevant experience in process engineering including ammonia and/or hydrogen projects in the US.
- University/college education.
- Has a high focus on HSE and the ability to comply with "I am safety".
- Good communication and communication skills, as well as writing ability.
- Ability to prioritize correctly during periods of high workload.
- Commercial instinct. Demonstrates cost awareness and commercial mindset.
- Actively contributes to a good learning culture, experience transfer, and sharing.
