Our client, a major energy company, is looking for a Capital project Planner/Scheduler to work on a long-term contract in Borger, Texas.
Main Responsibilities:
- Build schedules in adherence to the Client and Site Primavera scheduling requirements
- Conduct schedule optimization reviews and implement identified improvements
- Conduct schedule diagnostics and analysis to assure/maintain schedule quality and integrity
- Provide progress data and remaining work/duration forecasts for cost controls functions
- Perform schedule progress analysis to identify and initiate action with capital project leadership on underperforming areas
- Generate required progress reports, metrics, and analysis
- Developing schedule What-If Scenarios
- Leading interactive planning sessions / Pull Plans
- Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews
- Work in collaboration with project management team to drive consistency of the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting
- Develop Level 3-4 construction execution schedules utilizing CPM methodology
- Execute both forward and backward pass on schedules with TAR drop dead dates
- Working in OSBL, ISBL as well as Brown Field Environments
Main requirements:
- Ability to perform all skills required of a Capital Project scheduler; Proficient in Primavera P6 v15.1 or higher scheduling and database management
- Able to perform complex schedule imports and merges, schedule diagnostics, troubleshoot problems, and provide solutions
- 12+ years of experience in developing construction schedules and managing updates to capital projects schedules in an industrial facility
- Proficient Excel user, including data imports, pivots tables and graphing
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word
- Ability to review and understand engineering drawings
- This position does not qualify for remote working. This Position requires the individual to be onsite full time
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years field experience in Capital projects, maintenance, or turnaround
- Familiarity with the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Material Management (MM) modules
- Proficient In Primavera (P6)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of Earned Value Management
- Utilize Navis Works for Model Reviews
