Job Purpose
•    Provide SHES direction, guidance and leadership to Major Project Onshore EPC PMT and CONTRACTOR(s) for fieldwork within the assigned area.
•    Perform oversight of CONTRACTOR(s) and effectively manage a team of SHES Specialists to ensure compliance with all Project & RLIC SHES requirements, and communicate and verify the effective resolution of SHES compliance issues.
•    Take the lead in the site implementation and verification of the Major Project Onshore EPC SHES Plans & Procedures through clear planning, formal communication and interface between all involved parties.
•    Support the Major Project Onshore EPC CONTRACTOR(s) in the preparation for site mobilization and to provide expert Safety, Health, Environment and Security (SHES) advice and guidance to all PMT and CONTRACTOR Project Area Division Managers, and disciplines during all phases of the Project, to achieve the client Mission to protect its people, assets and environment. 
•    Manage the relevant elements of the Project SHES Management system, its procedures and programs and ensures the effective and efficient implementation of risk control and mitigation measures at site in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the Contract Exhibit 5, Appendix III, SHES Instructions Part 1 to 5.

Key Job Accountabilities
•    Supports the Major Project Onshore EPC project in all SHES related disciplines and scope of work. Shall be flexible and team-orientated. Act as the key focal point for all SHES compliance field issues.
•    Manages the onboarding of EPC CONTRACTOR, Subcontractors and Vendors to site, ensuring all relevant SHES requirements are met prior to the start of site works.
•    Champion on-site SHES awareness and safe performance with CONTRACTOR and among PMT. Daily attendance of Tool-Box Talks (TBT) and Task Instructions (TI), providing coaching and leadership to CONTRACTOR and its SUBCONTRACTOR(s) to ensure this fundamental communication tools are used to its optimum levels.
•    Provide oversight and guidance for site SHES and Regulatory compliance and performance during project fieldwork including compliance to RLC regulatory requirements. Review and comment on CONTRACTOR SHES Plan and key supporting documents
•    Coordinate SHES site resource planning, assignment, oversight and performance reviews. Provide mentoring and promote development of COMPANY and CONTRACTOR SHES personnel.
•    Use networking, influencing skills, negotiation skills, and technical knowledge to help establish direction and culture for the Major Project Onshore project EPC construction site. Support and promote the project Observation & Intervention program and the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) program.
•    Liaise with internal/external groups as and when required, e.g. QG Operations, Major Projects, CONTRACTOR, SUBCONTRACTOR(s), RLC, and QP etc. Manage SHES related interface with RLC on behalf of CONTRACTOR when required. 
•    Participate in relevant site safety reviews, walkthroughs and audits as required. Participate in pre-start up safety reviews. Participate in SHES assessments and inspections.
•    Ensure SIMOPS and relevant SHES programs for Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and start-up are in place and complied with.
•    Ensure the continual improvement of the CONTRACTOR SHES management system. Pro-active identification of negative trends which requires corrective action and remediation.

--Minimum Requirements-
Qualifications
•    HSE related NVQ Level 5, NEBOSH National/International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or higher (BSc, PgCert, PgDip, MSc).
•    OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
•    TapRoot® Advanced Root Cause Analysis Team Leader (or equivalent RCA tool).

Knowledge and Key Skills
•    Minimum of ten (10) years relevant industry HSE experience.
•    International project experience with Tier-1 EPC Contractors or Client, involved in the construction of onshore production facilities (i.e. greenfield and brownfield work).

Our company
We are seeking to develop and deliver grid-connected power solutions for several off-grid breweries in Nigeria (the Project). Renewable electricity will be wheeled to off takers via the Nigerian transmission grid network and replace the use of diesel and gas-fired generators.
We are entering into agreements and performing parallel development work on renewable generation (solar PV) to provide the required power. Various other development activities are in process to achieve financial close in Q3 2024.
The PM will safeguard the interests of the Project Special Purpose Vehicle (Project SPV) and promote the achievement of financial close and the start of construction. During development, the PM will report to the Management Committee, which will consist of the companies’ representatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, track, and report the Project program, timetable, milestones, and budget, and assist the Management Committee (MC) in obtaining the most current assessment of required KPIs.
  • Coordinate the interface with the Technical, E&S, and other advisers.
  • Participate and coordinate the negotiations of all project documents, including power purchase agreements with suppliers and the off taker, construction and operations contracts, owner’s engineer contracts, and relevant government or financing agreements.
  • Coordinate with the technical, commercial, and ESG working groups for regular sessions and meeting materials.
  • Assist in the drafting and provision of ToRs or SoWs for service providers.
  • Assist with the evaluation and assessment of proposals from project service provider consultants, advisors, vendors, etc. 
  • Assist with local supervision and monitoring of any works on the site pre-financial close (e.g. LNTP or Early Works).
  • Advise, review, and monitor the execution of any FEED works, the ESIA, required approvals, and project-relevant advisor workstreams.
  • Liaise with technical consultants on engineering and design issues.
  • Pay special attention to HSSE regulations and technical design of HSSE control measures for implementation during construction and eventually operations.
  • Elevate HSSE to a number one priority and ensure policies, regulations, compliance and HSSE control measures are adhered to and applied across the project. 
  • Review the technical and E&S reports / aspects of the project, review contracts, pricing, and all other project components. Highlight weaknesses, flaws, or deficiencies in order to recommend improvements or mitigation to the MC and/or the project team.
  • Support land lease and wayleave agreement negotiations to finalisation.
  • Liaise with the E&S team to ensure compliance with all environmental and other permit requirements.
  • Attend and provide input, insights, assistance, guidance, and advice as the case may be, in meetings, calls and discussions with relevant stakeholders (Ministries, Shareholder Meetings, etc).
  • Review and coordinate inputs and assumptions to the financial advisors for the bankable financial model.
  • Support with queries from the project insurance adviser.
  • Ensure that all technical aspects of the Project meet with typical investor compliance standards.
  • Prepare regular reports, updates and risk matrixes concerning project development progress for the MC.
  • Ensure that all documentation on the Project is carefully and correctly maintained and store documentation as per the data storage protocol.
  • Any other tasks not aforementioned and approved by the MC, that assist in bringing the Project to Financial Close.
Profile
  • The PM will have at least 10 years of experience in project management on infrastructure projects.
  • The PM will have working experience in the development of industrial energy projects.
  • The PM will be able to navigate the interfaces between the technical, commercial, and ESG requirements of the Project development.
  • The PM will be capable of effectively interfacing with all key stakeholders, including investor representatives, government officials, general contractors, and the energy off taker.
  • The PM will also be capable to coordinate interactions with the Nigerian authorities.
  • The PM will be able to communicate fluently in (written and spoken) English.
  • The PM will be required to travel as required between Nigeria and the UK (part time or full time, subject to discussion).

HR Business Partnering

Our Oil & Gas Operator client are recruiting for a HSE Audit Advisor to join their Aberdeen team.  The role will develop and manage HSE audit plans and ensure continuous improvement to the Assurance Framework.  Role will be onshore based, with frequent travel to offshore sites to carry out audits.

Key Responsibilities and background:
As well as developing and managing the HSE audit plans, you will be aware of known and emerging risks to occupational health and safety and process safety across the business.  The role will have relevant experience in planning and executing audits and will work with the HSEA team and other functions from the Aberdeen office to continually assess and determine audit priorities. There will also be frequent visits to sites to execute audits from the plan as Audit Lead or to direct others including 3rd parties on requirements.   The role will also work to develop additional audit capability within the business though training, mentoring and quality checking audits with others from the wider organisation to create a pool of individuals capable of becoming Audit Leads in their own right.
  • Lead the development and delivery of the assurance framework for the North Sea that covers company operated assets (including well operations), non-operated assets and key contracting organisations.

  • Act as primary Audit Lead for the North Sea, executing audits at sites based on agreed priorities.

  • Conduct end of well review meetings to assess technical, operational and financial performance

  • Support Contract team in their processes to secure well specific services as well as support on management of contract of suppliers and performance
  • Ensure full utilization of Wellview during the entire well construction, execution and closeout life
  • Monitor and co-ordinate challenge session, peer reviews, post well wash-up meetings & AAR’s
  • Ensure compliance with drilling costs control processes and procedures
Specify, order and QA all well materials and servicesForecast and order long lead items relative to well schedule
  • For quality assurance standards, ensure appropriate specifications for well materials and equipment
  • Identify and resolve non-conforming materials and equipment
  • Assures that suppliers are aligned with well goals and objectives and that adequate QA/QC plans are in place and being followed by contractors
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • BS in Engineering, preferably Petroleum, Mechanical or Geology
  • Strong technical competency
  • Be able to utilize engineering tools and principles to assist in design all aspects of a well construction.
  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas
  • Good teambuilding and mentoring skills
  • Be able to develop and maintain effective communications with rig based personnel

Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to find a R&D Lab Technician to work a 1-year contract with possible extension in Aurora, NC. 

This Laboratory Technician position is responsible for sample retrieving in the field, preparation of sampling, and reporting. In addition, with this being a start-up plant, the lab tech will be responsible for assisting in creation of the processes, SOPs and development of the lab.

This is a 12-hour shift rotating shift. Airswift will be happy to discuss further the rotation schedule for this opportunity. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform lab activities, such as setting up lab equipment and preparing chemical solutions.
  • Conduct tests, interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present conclusions.
  • Must document every test results carefully. During the research and testing phases, need to accurately record all variables, such as chemical type, amount, compound components, chemical temperature and test duration.
  • Must also adhere to safety standards during laboratory testing, such as wearing protective clothing and taking additional precautions as needed.
  • Improve current formulations of products when needed.
  • Calibration of equipment
Skills/Knowledge:
  • Ability to follow chemistry testing techniques
  • Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing and maintaining PPE

The scope covers contract formation through to administration and will support the Production Operations teams with category management for operations and maintenance services.

Overall Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide expertise on commercial content and negotiation support to relevant stakeholders for specific contract development
  • Ensure that Supply Chain is represented during the formation of commercial relationships in efforts to achieve optimal value
  • Support the development and ongoing post-award contract management activities including dispute resolution, claims support, scope of work, and compensation agreement amendments
  • Provide contracting expertise and guidance to both strategic and routine requirements for various service and material agreements

  • Draw up all new piping installations and revised installations for each unit in the refinery so each drawing can be CAD for assigned piping circuits and common systems linked to PCMS 

  • Go out into the units to draft piping isometric drawings 

  • Bring the drawings back to CAD Operator who will CAD it and work with Inspector to assign TML’s and circuits, etc. 

 

Requirements: 

  • At least 3 years of experience in Drafting 

  • Knowledge of Drafting standards, methods, and practices 

  • Must be able to work safely in an office and refinery environment 

  • Must be able to perform field walk downs
