Our major client, in the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking a Measurement Technician to work within their facilities located in Mansfield, LA for a 6-month assignment (subject to extension).
Summary:
This is an entry-level position under direct supervision in order to improve production, the candidate will be responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting, and supports all aspects of natural liquid gas measurement projects, meter run installs, calibrations, call-outs, collections, troubleshooting and communicating with customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Calibrate NGL and Liquids meters and able to understand the process of witness testing and calibration of 3rd party meters, adheres to company standards of documentation.
- Must be qualified to service and maintain Liquid Skids on Major Pipeline; multi-brand RTUs; have knowledge and experience with L.A.C.T Units, BS&W Meters, performing shake-outs and must also have skills and experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of all aspects of measurement and communications equipment; keeping all measurement equipment in safe and proper working condition in accordance with established NFM, customer policies and/or governmental rules and regulations; able to perform periodic pulling of NGL and Liquid samples.
- Assists with new meter installations, preventative maintenance, and field solutions for measurement related problems
- Assists with the maintenance and operation of flow computers and primary devices
- Performs plate changes and general upkeep of the end devices
- Monitors measurement and gas quality at assigned meter sites
- Maintains and troubleshoots telemetry on measurement equipment
- Coordinates with the Measurement Department and Production Control as required, and provides support for gas volume discrepancies
- Assists in volume recover by providing information
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years or related experience
- Basic knowledge of the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of various types of oilfield equipment
- Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems
- Basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry
- Basic knowledge of gauges, dials, or other indicators used to ensure machinery is in proper working order
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (7 AM – 3:30 PM)
