Our client, a major Oil and Gas company is looking for a Materials and Corrosion Lead position to work initially till the end of 2022 with the possibility of extension for further 3 months or 6 months contract in Kitimat, British Columbia
Main Responsibilities:
- Influencing in a lump sum execution environment
- High complexity mega module build out with considerable focus on schedule by the EPC
- Compliance and Technical Risk management often in the context of diverse conflicting drivers distributed working approach adopted by Contractor with activity in multiple timezones
- Complex Contractor management where separation of technical and commercial considerations can often be difficult
- Growing number of internal and external stakeholders and customers in the latter phases of the project driving keen prioritisation and resource deployment as well as well developed integration skills
Main requirements:
- Minimum Batchelor of engineering or equivalent
- minimum 5 years professional experience in discipline engineering and engineering leadership, oil and gas, LNG projects
- Experienced TA-3 as amin. or TA-2 qualification in own discipline is extremely advantageous
- EPC contract experience, particularly in a fabrication, construction or other large site environment strongly preferred
- Technical knowledge and skills in materials, welding, NDE/inspection, materials QA/QC, materials testing, root cause investigation (RCA) and Shell RBI
- Passionate approach to asset integrity, reliability and process safety principles. Experience in risk based decision making and demonstrable background in complex working environments with often conflicting drivers
- Even though this opportunity is advertised as a JG3 there may be some flexibility to tailor the role to applicants of lower seniority. Given the short term nature of the role and NOV context, in role promotion under such case will not be pursued
