Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Lead Instrumentation Designer to work in their facilities located in Papendrecht, Netherlands under a year contract (potentially contract to permanent role.)
Do you know how to translate the most complex technical challenges into feasible solutions in record time and do you like variety in your work? Then as a Lead Instrumentation Designer you are in the best place. Sometimes you work on a large multidisciplinary offshore, wind or onshore energy project, sometimes you work on several small, but challenging projects at the same time.
As a Lead Instrumentation Designer you are responsible for generating the drawings and lists with which the E/I installer can build your instrumentation design. Your design extends from complete fire, gas detection and security systems to process control and the necessary telecommunication systems. You get a lot of freedom to arrive at a perfect integral design with all the specialists.
Needs to have experience in renewables, not necessarily wind (preferred though).
We are looking for an MBO graduate designer in mechanical/electrical engineering with at least 5 years of experience in our branch of sport and preferably knowledge of software programs such as Smart Plant Instrumentation and AutoCAD. Experience with substation projects is a big plus. You are also familiar with the rules of classification societies and design codes and you have a good command of the Dutch and English language. But we consider your communicative and leadership qualities to be just as important. Because of your helicopter view, you are not easily fooled by stress. You are a real team player, but you know how to take the responsibility that you have as a team leader in this position.
