Facility Engineer - Infrastructure and Well Pads, Calgary, AB
We are currently seeking for a Facility Engineer - Infrastructure and Well Pads for a 12-months assignment in Calgary, AB.
The Well Pad & Pipeline Facility Engineer is part of an integrated team providing support for the Surmont Operations. As part of the Facility Engineering team the Well Pad & Pipeline Facility Engineer works closely with site operations, Production Engineering, and the Production Delivery Team, leveraging an engineering & operations skillset to extract maximum value from the facilities while carefully managing the Health, Safety and the Environmental impacts related to operation.
Accountabilities:
Health Safety Environment:
- Support and adhere to the client’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system
- Ensure HSE issues are given priority consideration by complying with all corporate and operating procedures to align with corporate safety standards and expectations
Technical Requirements:
- Facility optimization through programs applied across the facility
- Daily operational process performance monitoring and troubleshooting
- Attend the Plan of the Day meeting, provide update on the facility KPIs and risks to production forecast
- Develop organizational relationships to increase role effectiveness
- Find engineering solutions to short term value opportunities
- Development of opportunities for execution through the Minor Modifications Team
- Manage the portfolio of short – medium term opportunities/issues in their area of accountability
- Manage minor scope engineering changes from conception to completion Have awareness of MOCs in progress and status of the projects within the area.

Qualifications:
- Recognized degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- Active professional membership with APEGA
- 5+ years’ experience in Contact/Operations/Facility Engineering for Well Pads and Pipelines, preferably SAGD Operations
- Experience and ability to work within a team-oriented and diverse cultural environment
- Strong written and oral communications skills
