Our client, a highly regarded international solar EPC and O&M, has an opportunity for a Full-time Permanent Electrical Supervisor to join their team in QLD.
This company has experienced rapid expansion in Australia and because of this they’re looking for driven leaders who can refine their best practices and create smooth operations on their designated site. The Electrical Supervisor will oversee workflow, electrical construction activities, be responsible for coaching team members, resolving issues, and be the link between Electrical Technicians, Senior Management and Key Stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be a people-orientated, supportive, and flexible to get the most out of their team. You will have experience organizing work groups, coaching employees, enforcing companies’ policies and procedures, and ensuring quality compliance for stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote Health Safety Environment and the overall Welfare of people within the team, ensuring the business operates to the highest ethical standards and compliance.
- Coordinate Construction Operations across multiple teams on a Solar Farm project, abiding by contractual obligations, troubleshooting breakdowns to meet uptime goals, and reducing unplanned breakdowns.
- Actively advise on Australian standards, legislation, and best codes of practice as well as assisting with developing standard operating safety documents.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders/vendors both internal and external.
- Arrange regular coaching and skills programs for Trainees, Apprentices and Field Technicians.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, solar farm construction
- A Grade Electrical License
- HV Switching License
- HV Operator (highly regarded)
- White Card
- Open Driver’s License
- Demonstrated commitment and adherence to safety and environmental requirements
- Experience working with Microsoft applications
- Two industry relevant Referees
