Qualifications:
- Education: * High School, 2 year technical degree or Revit training program Registration: * Autodesk Certified Professional - Revit
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in BIM drafting (Revit MEP), with 4 being more common.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), and other NFPA codes governing designs
- Knowledge and application of company engineering design and BIM & CAD drafting standards
- Knowledge of electrical power distribution equipment
- Familiarity with one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, panel schedules, and electrical plan views
- Understanding of Ohms Laws, Voltage Drop calculations
- Routing of conduit & cable tray in Revit
- Space planning and locating Electrical equipment in Revit
- Proficient in Revit and 2D AutoCAD
- *Circuiting of equipment in Revit
- *Clash Detection using Navisworks
- *Create panel schedules and cable schedules from Revit
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, and Access
- Good listening, writing and communication skills
- Good presentation skills
You will be accountable for budget, schedule and quality of assigned tasks. Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Gain familiarity with the client’s expectations and standards
• * Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly
• Collaborate design criteria with engineering team members to gather information required to model systems and components
• Coordinate space in BIM model with all disciplines • Interpret architect drawings/specifications, blueprints and construction documents
• Utilize BIM software to provide layouts, general arraignments, profile views, details, under close supervision
• Set up and maintain BIM with project / client standards
• Actively cooperate with members of your project task force, client personnel and members of your department, as appropriate
• Establish a professional and, if possible, a personal relationship with key client personnel with whom you interact
• Understand client expectations, as determined by the team, and constantly strive to achieve or better these
• Meet commitments that you make to the client, individually or as a team, to complete work by certain dates or within agreed effort hour or cost budgets
• Produce flawless work with minimum rework
