This role will work closely with the Corrosion Team Leader and the Technical Team Leader to manage the corrosion program for Pipeline and Terminal Assets. The role will develop into the technical center of experience for the region. The engineer may serve as a representative for the team on various business unit wide or inter-region activities and work teams. Managing the corrosion program includes identifying the corrosion needs of the region, developing work plans and budget to execute the work, track the progress of the work, mitigate variances in the work plan, and report on progress. The engineer will be expected to assist in the selection, contracting and management of vendors for the execution of the work. The job will include prioritization of regional corrosion work, understanding the risk of failure, justification of funding and assurance that the program is effective. Key Accountabilities: - Identification of the corrosion program requirements - Prioritization of corrosion needs - Understand regulatory requirements for corrosion - Familiar with industry general and best practices - Ownership of the regional corrosion plan - Development of the region corrosion budget - Corrosion technical center of expertise for the region (eventually) - Provide assurance the corrosion requirements are being met. - Represent the company during regulatory audits of the program. - Approve corrosion related MOCs
