TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that the Contracting Strategy Workshops (CSWs): consider appropriate alternatives and objective criteria for evaluation and selection of lead case and fallback options, utilize appropriate broad based market intelligence in assessing contractor interests, capabilities and compensation options and consider partner requirements / constraints
  • Support the organization in review and endorsement of proposed contracting strategies
Contract Planning
  • Ensure that screening / pre-qualification activities engage an appropriately broad contractor community, with the necessary  critical questions / evaluations
  • Support the organization in review and endorsement of proposed bid slate
  • Ensure that bid review plans incorporate best practices and apply the most weight to critical success / failure criteria
  • Support the organization in review and endorsement of proposed contract award recommendation
Contract Administration
  • Ensure that complex administration matters such as incentive plans and major claims resolution receive appropriate scrutiny and strategic / critical thinking prior to implementation
Skill Development
  • Support the Senior Contracts Engineering Consultant in mentoring and development of SMEs, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Specialists, and Contracts Engineer (CE) Advisors
  • Support the equipping and education of personnel in project contracting
  • Serve as a trainer in contracting sponsored courses (Contract Planning, Development and Administration (CPDA), Bid Review, Advanced Contracts Strategy Management (ACSM) )
  • Support the Sr. Contracts Engineering Consultant and management in assessing organizational competencies and skill development plans
External Engagement
  • Support planning and engagement of contractor executive management as necessary in furthering strategic relationships, development of emerging contractors, and resolution of critical issues
  • Engage as necessary with partners to educate on Company contracting processes, MI, and strategy development
  • Engage with Company Affiliate contracting professionals to share learnings Organization, Systems, Processes, Procedures
  • Support / champion the continuous improvement and incorporation of company's lessons learned
  • Support the Sr. Contracts Engineering Consultant and management in assessing that the organization and its systems, processes, procedures are delivering the intended business results
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

This professional will plan, control and monitor the execution of activities related to lifting gear inspections, with a focus on planning and preventive maintenance, related to Onshore and Offshore scopes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and relevant regulations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the planning and fulfillment of the schedule for the execution of planned inspection activities on lifting system equipment, onshore and offshore.
Responsible for planning and controlling the onshore certification of Lifting Gear Containers, as well as their internal accessories (hoists, wire ropes, chains, hooks and accessories), meeting a schedule of operational demands to prevent the certification date from expiring, in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Assisting in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance plans for lifting gear, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the equipment.
Plan and monitor Lifting Gear preventive maintenance plans, ensuring that activities are mapped out, making sure to carry out the scope of work assigned to the activities, using the Work Order in the CMMS. 
Monitor the performance of activities and identify opportunities for improvement to ensure reliability and increase the useful life of equipment.
Evaluate and recommend the acquisition of new lifting equipment, considering operational, safety and cost requirements.
Create purchase requisitions in the CMMS and follow up on purchase orders, working together with the purchasing team to acquire spare parts and new lifting equipment, as well as contracting services when necessary.
Monitor and analyze performance indicators, proposing corrective and preventive action plans to maintain and improve reliability.
Ensuring that all records and documentation, both electronically and manually, are kept to auditable standards and accessible to all those involved, guaranteeing the accuracy and integrity of the data.
Create, periodically update and maintain the inventory of material, equipment and tools.
Contribute to improvements and corrective actions on the performance of service providers.
Share lessons learned with the operations and maintenance team on good practice in the use, inspection and maintenance of lifting equipment.

Engineering Design Systems (EDS) Coordinator with strong expertise in various 2D/3D Engineering and Design Software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, AVEVA E3D, and Smart3D (S3D). Supporting all projects within our client’s East offices. The EDS Coordinator will be responsible for loading and configuring the engineering and design software, keeping the system running, and trouble-shooting problems. Duties will include software setup, database setup, integration with other tools. Configuring access control, and project level settings. This position will work with other team members, Engineering and Design Departments to provide operational and development support.
Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Designs System setup, administration and problem resolution, and the use of application technologies to deliver improvements and efficiencies to engineering design activities.

Key Accountabilities:

• HSE & Inspection

o Review and comment Engineering documents related to Inspection or Integrity discipline.

Our Oil & Gas Operator client are recruiting for a HSE Audit Advisor to join their Aberdeen team.  The role will develop and manage HSE audit plans and ensure continuous improvement to the Assurance Framework.  Role will be onshore based, with frequent travel to offshore sites to carry out audits.

Key Responsibilities and background:
As well as developing and managing the HSE audit plans, you will be aware of known and emerging risks to occupational health and safety and process safety across the business.  The role will have relevant experience in planning and executing audits and will work with the HSEA team and other functions from the Aberdeen office to continually assess and determine audit priorities. There will also be frequent visits to sites to execute audits from the plan as Audit Lead or to direct others including 3rd parties on requirements.   The role will also work to develop additional audit capability within the business though training, mentoring and quality checking audits with others from the wider organisation to create a pool of individuals capable of becoming Audit Leads in their own right.
  • Lead the development and delivery of the assurance framework for the North Sea that covers company operated assets (including well operations), non-operated assets and key contracting organisations.
  • Ensure a risk-based approach is taken when determining audit activity and targets, focussed on known and emerging risk and continually reflecting and adapting this on the North Sea Audit Plan accordingly.
  • Act as primary Audit Lead for the North Sea, executing audits at sites based on agreed priorities.
  • Manage the resources required for audits, leading and mentoring others to build a wider pool of Audit Leads for the business.
  • Provide input into 3rd party audits to ensure the scope is defined clearly, aligned to company risk-based prioritisation, and executed to the standard required.

Role Synopsis 
This position will be responsible for one of the Cat B This role will support the planning activity for the assigned project scope and ensure contractor compliance with contractual planning, scheduling and reporting requirements especially those detailed contractually within the Project Coordination Procedures (PCP).

Key Accountability:
  • Lead and coordinate all planning activity for the project scope and support the Delivery Manager and AGT Planning Squad Lead to achieve contract objectives.
  • Ensure key planning deliverables are developed, maintained, assessed, and communicated.
  • Ensure the integrity and efficiency of planning and progress measurement.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with contractual planning, scheduling, and reporting requirements especially those detailed contractually within the Project Coordination Procedures (PCP).
  • Perform “what if” and/or risked scheduling scenarios (as required) in order to recover schedule deviations along with assisting with development of alternative work sequences.
  • Provide experience-based estimates for best-case, most-likely, and worst-case activity durations as inputs to schedule risk analysis (SRA) activities.
  • Support 6-monthly planning input to MCEs including bottoms-up review of the schedule, applying an overview to the contractor’s schedule or re-base lining if deemed necessary.
  • Support site team discussions regarding planning and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with client planning and scheduling procedures and projects common process guidance.
Work with the Contractor Planning Engineers to ensure contract deliverables are received, to close any gaps which have been identified against the contract Project Coordination Procedures and to assess / verify reported progress by physical observation

Essential Education

Degree in engineering / science / economics

Requirements
  • Strong commitment to HSE.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in major projects and brownfield projects as a planning engineer.
  • Sound background and experience in major projects planning processes.
  • Self-motivation and a high level of individual initiative and self-reliance are required.
  • Advanced influencing and communication skills in English language.
  • Strong ability to build partnerships, actively engage and respect contributions of others.
  • Ability to produce good quality written reports and summary presentations – able to communicate clarity from complexity.
  • Experience working with large contractor organizations. 
  • Experience performing effectively in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment

We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source Structural Lead to work for Major Offshore Project. This is a long-term contract role working on a residential basis 6-days per week / 10 hours per day. Please see details below:

Start Date: Negotiable (typically within 1 month notice)

Job Purpose:
Reports to: NFXP Offshore Head of Jackets Engineering
Responsible for all Structural engineering and design related to the approved for Construction (AFC) dossier and ePCI deliverables for Offshore Jackets.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Oversees the Contractor's development of the required structural deliverables within the project budget and schedule.
  • Ensures that all Project requirements, as detailed in the Scope of Work, for all structures are met.
  • Facilitates interfaces among the Contractor's organization with respect to structural issues on for the areas of his responsibility.
  • Provides general structural engineering technical leadership, advice, and guidance as to company practices and expectations. Supervise the Contractor structural team.
  • Reviews the design work of Contractors, Consultants and other third parties, request corrections and recommends changes. Ensures that the process/plant design and operability are in accordance with the Client’s operational philosophies.
  • Reviews the project job specifications prepared by the Contractor(s) and ensure they are in accordance with Company’s Engineering Guides and Design Practices.
  • Submits recommendations based on company operating and maintenance philosophies to project management.
  • Liaise with vendors, sub-vendors and sub-contractors  regarding structural engineering concerns as required. Determines acceptability of equipment, techniques and methods. Checks structural material requisitions and checks the final purchase orders are in accordance with the structural specifications.
  • Participates in inspections at fabrication yards and witnesses acceptances tests.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Engineering Degree / HND/HNC or similar, however any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience. 
  • 15 years of experience in discipline with at least 10 years demonstrated senior engineering experience in major capital projects
  • Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry
  • Worldwide experience with contractors in particular those involved in the construction of Offshore LNG production facilities.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT
