Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the successful work flow process management and integration of optimization activities across Operations functional teams.
- Ensures that automation is implemented in a manner to achieve SJBU Goals and adhere to the company's Standards.
- Interfaces with the extended BU team –Operations & Maintenance, Discipline, Project and Production/Artificial Lift Engineering, Pipeline, Measurement and supporting the Optimization Team to receive the appropriate application, engineering, design, and support of automation.
- Develop Automation solutions to enhance surveillance and optimization efforts in line with BU strategy
- Develop and document Optimization Center processes and establish Continuous Improvement practices
- Support Optimization Team with day-to-day tasks and well optimization processes
- Train and mentor the Operations Center Team, I&E, MSOs and Rotating Equipment staff
- Identify and work opportunities to progress Integrated Operations
- Support the development and training of production software (PLOT, CygNet, XSPOC, Offline Tool, etc.)
- Be a technical resource for downhole problems, surface facilities, artificial lift systems and optimization practices
- Be a safety leader
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- 10+ years of direct experience in Upstream field operations
- 5+ years of working knowledge of the Fisher RTU or equivalent
- 5+ years of working knowledge of SCADA controllers, i.e.: Bristol, KimRay, Total Flow, Allen Bradley, etc.
- 5+ years of working knowledge on industry accepted end devices (Pressure/Temperature transmitters, Level detection, Flow measurement, etc)
- Valid driver's license
- Able to travel up to 10%
- 5+ years direct operations experience
- Proficient in PLOT, XSPOC and CygNet
- 1+ years of experience as a mentor/trainer of less experienced teammates
- Understanding of well optimization theories and techniques
