Job description
Airswift (Air Energy Caspian LLP) is currently looking for an expat GTG Instrument Engineer for one of our largest projects in Tengiz, 28 / 28 days rotation. We are looking for candidates with the drive and commitment to make a genuine difference to our performance to ensure that company continues to differentiate itself from competitors by delivering quality service to our client’s requirements.
Education (Diploma): Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Relevant Experience: 10+ years direct Electrical Power Generation during commissioning/start-up, maintenance and operations of power stations with GE frame 9 heavy industrial gas turbine and generators.
Qualifications\Certification: Experience in loop checks, device function testing, device calibrations, cause & effect testing and complex troubleshooting. O&M gas turbine maintenance and start-up experience
Technical Skills:
1. Familiar with power generation operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting
2. Competency with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and operational characteristics of GE gas turbines.
3, Must be confident in the field application of typical GE installation & start-up practices for large industrial gas turbines. Working knowledge of gas turbine accessory systems, including; fuel gas, lube oil, hydraulic oil, cooling water, ventilation, MKVI control system, gas turbine instrumentation, loop & functional checks, balance of plant, DLN tuning, gas turbine dynamic testing and generator/excitation testing. Experience with Gas Turbine/Generator testing including, DLN tuning, gas turbine performance testing, safety system test, excitation test, generator on and off-line testing. System checkouts on GTG's. Demonstrated experience with gas turbine troubleshooting, typical modifications, and knowledge of vendor capabilities.
4. Experience leading small to mid-sized teams to success in challenging and complex work environments with many stakeholders.
5. Familiarity with industry installation & commissioning processes and norms
6. Demonstrated experience in training plant personnel in the operation and commissioning of heavy-duty gas turbine power generation facilities.
