Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Upstream clients to seek a Pipeline Engineer to join their team in Spring, TX for an initial 12-month contract!
Position will serve as an operating company representative for ongoing PreFEED / FEED studies being conducted to support an upcoming major offshore capital project. Role will include serving as technical authority while working with 3rd party engineering contracting company, including reviewing of necessary engineering documents, participating in design review workshops, etc.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation to project, maintenance, and inspection functions pertaining to corrosion / materials issues.  Responsible for assisting with the development of technical deliverables associated within the mechanical integrity (structural & equipment) including evaluation and assessment of collected corrosion data, inspection scheduling, and cost control.
  • Provide oversite and management of contracts associated with corrosion management as well as general M&AI contract support.
  • Provide expertise and knowledge base to improve corrosion management of operated facilities by early identification of corrosion / materials issues
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve a Corrosion Management Program and recommend mitigation techniques in terms of materials selection, coatings, cathodic protection, inhibitors & biocides, etc.
  • Corrosion coupons program management: plan and schedule the coupons installation/retrieval, analyse the results and propose the improvement/mitigation actions, updated the plan and database
  • Inspection Program management: organize, plan and schedule the inspection activities (pressure vessels, tanks, process piping and pipelines), ensuring proper application of RBI program, statutory requirements, industry and company policies/standards/best practices; provide assistance to inspection contractor during the inspection planning and execution stages, ensuring  necessary technical information; review inspection data and perform QA checks, evaluate corrosion mechanism and integrity status of inspected items, propose improvement actions and mitigation measures, accordingly update the inspection program; keep updated Inspection Data Management System (IDMS) in accurate and timely manner; track and follow-up proposed mitigation actions and repairs
  • Develop and revise local company procedures related to asset integrity and corrosion management system
  • Lead the failure analysis due to corrosion issues, collect the data and prepare technical report, propose remedial actions, follow-up actions implementation, share the lessons learned within the organization
  • Revise documentation produced by contractors, including reports, procedures, technical studies
  • Assist in preparation of subject related presentations and articles, as well as technical scope of works for contracts
  • Provide assistance in production chemistry subjects and biocide treatment program
  • Participate actively in regulatory and company audits
  • Assist in cost estimation, economic evaluation, budget preparation, tracking and optimization of costs for corrosion management activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or mechanical Engineering or related engineering specialty or equivalent professional experience
  • Oil and gas experience
  • Experience in dealing with front end project delivery
  • Extensive experience in business and project planning
  • In depth experience of working with sub-surface disciplines.

In the role of Marine Engineer you are responsible for taking the role of an independent Marine Engineer on projects.  

  • You will contribute to deliver high-quality and cost-effective Marine Systems designs of products. You will particularly focus on FPSOs and potentially; Floating LNG products.
  • In this position you could experience occasional high workload (peaks in project scope for your discipline).
  • You could be; optionally requested to be on assignment in other project offices or shipyards around the globe on short or long-term basis.

 

Job requirements

Looking for candidates who have an MSc or BSc degree or equivalent (i.e. Professional Certification) in any field of Marine Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Higher Seafaring College or General Operational Technology (AOT).  

You have at least 2 years working experience in Marine Systems Engineering and Design (Preferably on Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed phase).

Furthermore you have:

  • In-depth experience and sound technical knowledge in both conceptual and detailed design of (marine and production) systems on floating & production units (FSO's, FPSO's, Oil & Gas Carriers, Chemical Tankers, Drilling Units, Semi's, TLP) for the Oil & Gas Industry;
  • Good interface knowledge with related disciplines i.e. Naval, E&I, Piping, HVAC, Process, Technical Safety & Regulatory;
  • Preferably working experience in/ with Shipyards, Shipboard Operation, Marine Equipment Vendor and Manufacturer;
  • Preferably experience in Engineering & Design and/or Operation of LNG carriers;
  • Familiar with the latest (marine) systems and equipment technology and having the ability to specify and judge the suitability of equipment, while keeping a good balance between technological advancement and commercial awareness;

Job Summary

The technician will be Supporting the Automation Engineer with day to day troubleshooting of the DCS, stand-alone PLCs and other control systems as needed.

 

Essential Job Functions

· Diagnosis and repair automation and control Equipment of various types, including but not limited to DCS input/output modules, stand-alone PLC systems and associated communication equipment.

· Programming of PLC and DCS to support newly installed equipment as needed.

· Performs preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on control systems, in both the office and field locations.

· Conduct routine preventative maintenance of automation and control equipment.

This is a technically demanding job that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The IFAs work a five-man rotation. Most weeks they work Monday through Friday and take off Saturday and Sunday. Every fifth week (to accommodate working the weekend) they will take off Monday and Tuesday, then work Wednesday through Sunday.

Airswift has been tasked by one of its chemical clients to look for a Project Engineer to work a long-term contract in Ingleside, TX.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. The professional will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

Project Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects
  • Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Interacting daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and representing them in the field

Responsibilities:
 
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions

Requirements and skills:
  • Proven working experience as a Project Engineer
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
  • Project management and supervision skills
  • Decision making ability and leadership skills
  • Current engineer license (not required)
  • Time management and organization skills
  • BS degree in Engineering or relevant field
