JOB DESCRIPTION: (i.e. duties, responsibilities, tasks)

Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
- Ensure that all field construction activities are executed in conformance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, procedures, quality requirements and safety standards.
- Control project schedule and cost through the efficient use of all construction resources including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Determine manpower levels to attain schedule milestones and monitor manpower levels and craft mixes to ensure conformance with the construction plan.
- Manage and influence Business Partner’s supervision to ensure that work liquidated is aligned to the path of construction, to meet the project milestones and waypoints for mechanical completion.
- Communicate the construction requirements to all Business Partners and ensure compliance with a safety and quality plan and Client requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction supervisors and engineers within assigned areas.
- Review and validate CWPs and IWPs to ensure the Business Partner’s plan supports the path of construction.
- Ensure the scope of work is aligned with the Contract requirements and ensure the Business Partners correctly interpret and comply with the latest revision AFC drawings, quantities, and specifications.
- Ensure that the Health, Safety, Environment, Security (HES) and quality policy is understood and implemented by all supervised staff and construction Business Partners.
- Provide input for the development of project schedules in cooperation with the construction engineers and planners Ensures that daily and weekly short-range planning is maintained down to the foreman level.
- Monitor productivity and cost and implements appropriate action to maintain maximum labor productivity and cost- effectiveness.
- Work with site productivity engineers to drive daily and weekly construction activities to achieve 90% weekly commitment reliability compared to the 4/8 week look ahead and 120-day schedules.
- Play an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed
- Plan and manage the project’s temporary facilities
- Identify the hand over sequence on a system by system and area by area basis, to deliver clean MCs to enable Commissioning and Start-Up activities in the right sequence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (i.e. qualifications, years of experience, education, skills, etc.)

The Construction Manager is required to possess the following skills/qualifications:
- Extensive track record of managing construction activities within Oil and Gas Process Plant/Facilities sector.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English language.
- Ability to influence the Business Partner, assigned team members and external functional teams, with and without authority.
- Mentor and develop Kazakh construction supervisors and engineers on managing safety and quality performance, cost, and schedule.
- Substantial experience of supervising construction staff to achieve effective construction execution.
- A degree in a relevant technical discipline is required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to supervise multi-disciplined project teams
- Read, understand, and communicate code requirements and standards, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Highly motivated individual capable of working independently and participating with high performance team.
- Working knowledge of computer programs including Word, Excel and Power Point.
