Summary

The Service Engineer will be responsible for system fault maintenance and safe solutioning while adhering strictly to business and client’s requirements. The role will be client-facing to advise and suggest adequate solutions of installation, repair, inspection and commissioning aligned with safety standards and protocols.

This role will have a 50% travel requirement within the Sales Area, based in KL, Malaysia.
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Specialized fault inspections, installations, repairs, fine-tuning and product commissioning and equipment commissioning onsite and offsite, taking into account cost efficiencies and maintenance costs/impact.
  • Independently perform complex troubleshooting and repairs, and provide technical feedback on TIM/TFM/CPI systems. (TIM = Technical Issue Management, TFM = Technical Feedback Management and   CPI =Continuous Product Improvement process.)
  • Cross collaboration with relevant business units on product failures and abnormality reports.
  • Testing of operational equipment and diagnostic investigations.
  • Developing routine work procedures according to safety standards and guidelines.
  • Prepare and execute all activities in line with EHS and Quality, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and promote awareness, including addressing unsafe activities to others.
 

Job Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

  • Open to travelling as a work requirement.

Responsibilities include:
  • Perform discipline specific engineering services which may include: Preparing and overseeing the production of detailed design including deliverables such as: drawings, specifications, scopes of work, calculations, technical reports, datasheets, tender documentation, etc.
  • Undertake tender bid evaluations and provide input and/or support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Maintain discipline files and document traceability and ensure technical integrity of the discipline’s deliverables through the implementation of checking and review activities as per company processes.

  • Extensive and proven experience working at an engineering design consultancy as a professional engineer in the oil and gas refinery (or closely allied) industry (essential)
  • Good understanding and proven experience in AC and DC systems with HV & LV system.
  •  Firm knowledge in Brownfield and multiple package interfacing.
  • Well acquainted with electrical calculations and equipment sizing, earthing systems & step and touch potential calculations.
  • Expertise in Switchgear, protection, generation and power reticulation with Equipment inspections, FATs, SATs.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for driving and delivering safe and sustainable electrical design on a project moving into execution phase. The project has a sustainable focus with conversion of an existing brownfield site into a renewable fuels site.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team in Perth.
The role responsibilities include:
  • Deliver discipline specific engineering services that meet company, the client’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. 
  • Undertake and/or support engineering design and technical verification of discipline project deliverables by others.
  • Proactively seek an understanding of the safety hazards and risks associated with the asset lifecycle of the designed product, plant or structure; be responsible for action and close out where relevant.
  • Perform and/or manage discipline specific engineering services such as:  
    • prepare/assist and as required oversee the production of engineering calculations, drawings and documentation; 
    • ensure all deliverables are checked in accordance with company checking procedures; attend site visits as required;
    • facilitate and/or contribute to discipline Safety in Design risk assessment for each project;
    • participate in project reviews, HAZIDs/HAZOPs and safety design workshops; and initiate, manage and supervise, engineering assignments with the head office team and Workshare team.
  • Prepare engineering estimates for the electrical discipline in response to requests for quotation or change notices: scope engineering requirements; detail methodologies and/or engineering tasks in scope and those out of scope; clarify and detail assumptions, exclusions, rely upon information and deliverables list; input into the schedule incorporating a realistic delivery sequence for the discipline with consideration to project milestones; input from other disciplines and receival of rely on information; and ascertaining resources required based on availability.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with the project stakeholders including the Discipline Team Lead, Workshare team, Client and Project Engineer/Manager on design progress, budget, technical matters, quality, and resource planning. 
  • Establish relationship and manage packages and/or interfacing with installation contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, site team and client.
What you’ll have
  • An Australian recognised Bachelor qualification in the relevant discipline and extensive experience working at an engineering design consultancy as a professional engineer in the oil and gas refinery (or closely allied) industry.
  • Strong and proven technical skillset as a Principal Electrical Engineer on detailed design projects and must have ability to work across multiple work fronts.  
  • Experience across all phases of engineering projects from feasibility/conceptual studies through to detailed design and execution (essential).
  • Strong understanding and experience during detailed design:
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, postgraduate qualifications in the relevant discipline; management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent   .
  • Hazardous Area Accreditation (or experience in design of) and Functional Safety TUV Certification.

Job Specification and requirements:

Job Purpose
A key member of the project's leadership team, reporting directly to the Project Offshore Business Manager.  The role is to manage the Project Controls team ensuring that the project delivers the services needed across the EPCI and FEED scopes related to Cost, Schedule and Contracts. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance, Management, Business Administration, equivalent professional qualification however any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience.
  • 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry particularly within a business-related function. Minimum of 10 years supervisory experience.

Key Accountabilities
 
  • Manages and directs the work of the PMT’s Project Controls Department in Qatar and EPC locations and provides support to Topsides, Jackets and Pipelines teams as required to ensure project controls deliverables are met across the Project. Provides training to PMT staff on project controls related functions.
  • Monitors Contractor’s performance on all Offshore Projects in areas of cost, including the preparation of forecasts, funding documents, stewarding, and reporting cost against control budgets and approved funding, preparation of monthly cost allocations, SAP setup, verification of invoices and changes in line with ToFA.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of Project schedule and Contractor’s schedule development and schedule control including periodic progress measurement, schedule trends and forecasts.
  • Reviews and monitors Contractor’s Construction Progress schedules and reports for accuracy of progress measurement and advises Project Management to potential schedule issues and recommends remedial actions.
  • Manage PMT Weekly/Monthly/ ad-hoc Home Office and Construction progress and other schedule analysis.
  • Manage development of tender documents for all scopes including SOI, PQ, ITT, TBE plans for all project scopes including FEED and EPCI in close coordination with Supply, EP&S and Legal.
  • Lead Offshore Project Management team in handling major change orders and claims and negotiations with EPC contractors and LLI suppliers and interface with Major Projects, Supply, Finance and Legal department as needed.
  • Manage contractor claims effectively and resolve issues on behalf of the company, and coordinate on legal issues with Legal department.
  • Manage the project adherence to Contracting Governance working with Integration and Supply to prepare all Contracting documents for award in line with Project Offshore approved contracting process and company procedures.

  • Maintaining constructive and positive working relationship with EPC contractor to ensure delivery of Technical Safety / Loss Prevention scope per plan and in accordance with project requirements.
Key Job Accountabilities
  • Coordinate Technical Safety and Loss Prevention Engineering deliverables with Contractor personnel, Project Management Team (PMT) and Head of Technical Safety and Loss Prevention in shared resources. 
  • Lead / Drive EPC contractor to deliver technical safety studies (e.g. QRA, HAZOPs, , FERA, EERA, QRA studies and PH&RA workshops) as per execution plan. Occasionally lead and facilitate the Formal Risk Assessment (FRA) for the execution activities and stewardship the FRA reporting processes.
  • Manage and monitor the Technical Safety and Loss Prevention Engineering schedule and critical milestones. Develop and manage recovery plans to address any delays. Support the project by providing clear guidance to close out appropriate actions associated with Technical Safety and Loss Prevention activities such as saferty case studies, risk assessments, HAZOPs etc.
  • Provide guidance and input during detailed design for the Packages, Contractor strategies/procedures to achieve project Integration objectives as required; participate in Offshore Constructability Reviews, SIMOPS etc as required. Support the risk screening process of the Specification Deviation Request (SDR) that will be raised by vendors and contractor.
  • Steward contractors’ Loss Prevention execution activities. Advise on the adequacy of Contractors’ safety and risk execution activities in accordance with projects plans, verify adequacy of Contractor resources and personnel competency for the tasks, employment of appropriate tools including used of approved software for scoped studies.
  • Advise contractor Technical Safety organisation with respect to compliance with COMPANY policies for prevention of information brokering and business standards guidelines; engineering and design procedures, processes, and deliverables; staffing plans, personnel suitability and adequacy and the successful resolution of any claims.
  • Supervise and solve technical problems as they are developing in the various disciplines and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Seek guidance on areas beyond technical knowledge and manage implementation of solutions.
  • Chair meetings if required to collect and disseminate information pertaining to Technical Safety and Loss Prevention engineering actions; advise Management in a timely manner where issues are unable to be resolved and may impact the project delivery.
  • Oversee the timely delivery of technical attachments and scope description to all Technical Safety and Loss Prevention related purchase orders and own related technical attachments and scope description in all fabrication and construction contracts.
  • Lead the developments of Design Safety Case that meets the Project’s and company’s requirements and ensure Technical Integrity Verification (TIV) plan is implemented. Support the Design Performance Standards evolvement into Operate Phase Performance Standards

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Mechanical, Safety Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience within industrial safety and loss prevention in the oil and gas industry with emphasis on risk assessments with different methods, safe systems of work, and safety studies, preferably in a major project environment with at least 5 years in Offshore projects.
  • Experience with Quantitative Risk Assessments.
  • Experience with firefighting design.
  • Experience with HAZID, HAZOP, Bow Tie Analysis, FERA and EERA.
  • Experience in developing Design Safety Case.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal in English.
  • Certifications in process safety is preferred.

The main function of a Project Coordinator is to work closely with project managers, functional managers and accounting staff to lead the successful and timely delivery of a regular reporting process. The process involves a review of overall project health, project status, schedule review, budget review and workload forecasting.  

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Assume primary responsibility for coordination of weekly and monthly project reporting to stakeholders, including executive management  

  • Monitor and integrate status updates from correspondence, meetings, and status reports into a summary roll up report for executive management 

  • Support Fleet Manager and Execution Engineers in Developing and Executing Projects for High Pressure Gas Lift Installations 

  • Managing Drawing Updates, Drafting Requests, Document Control, Supporting in Cost Tracking and Reporting through in house tools 

  • Updating progress in Master P6 Schedule and developing reports from schedule 

  • Documenting action item closeout for Management of Change 

  • Develop Tools to support Fleet Manager in administration of large compressor fleet such as reliability and performance monitoring, contracting and material/fleet forecasting, and other activities in support of the overall program.  

  • Update project-controls metrics, including schedule performance trends  

  • Provide reporting support for operational metrics  

  • Monitoring and documenting project progress and other performance indicators 

  • Tracking and documenting project risks, issues and milestones  

  • Manage and lead project tasks as assigned by senior project managers  

  • Assist with managing small scale projects under the guidance of a senior project manager  

  • Preparing written project communication materials  

  • Preparing formal project progress and other reports  

  • Complete tasks to the right accuracy and quality standards  

  • Complete tasks efficiently and on time Support the cross-functional team in a helpful and positive manner 

 

Requirements: 

  • Knowledge of Project Management, Artificial Lift, and Upstream Equipment  

  • Understanding of the Project Lifecycle (PLC), Project & Portfolio Management processes & best practices and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile etc.)  

  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organization (team member to Sr. leadership)  

  • Strong Teamwork skills  

  • Ability to allocate time efficiently, handle multiple demands and competing priorities  

  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and Visio Excellent business acumen and technical aptitude  

  • Solid understanding of the energy industry CAPM certification  

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Management or related field 

  • 2-4 years' experience working with projects and reporting of the project lifecycle

Required Skills and Experience:
