PNG Drilling Engineer - Contract - (28/28)



Our client an integrated oil and gas major is looking to engage a Drilling Engineer with previous experience in Papua New Guinea to join a growing project team. This role underpins significant greenfield and brownfield development and will require proven ín-country knowledge.

Beneficial areas of experience would be as follows:

Drilling & workover execution with land rigs & hydraulic units.
Specification of support facilities requirements & stewardship of construction/installation.

Drilling & workover execution with semi-submersible rigs, jack-ups, and platform-based units
Preparation of detailed regulatory plans & execution of operations under complex regulatory environments.
Remote area drilling/project execution.

Deepwater/subsea well design & drill well/workover execution
Mooring & riser designs for deep-water applications
Subsea abandonment and decommissioning

Well design & execution of wells with complex geomechanics & over pressured formations.
Non-aqueous fluid designs for low temp high density applications.
Cuttings management including advanced oil recovery/cleaning technology.

Background:

Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years' experience in petrochemical industry, with references of your work in PNG to support this.
Strong communication and business judgment skills.
Good interpersonal and influencing skills.

Summary:
This is a rotational assignment and requires a start over the coming 4-6 weeks. Individuals are encouraged to apply that are available within this time frame. Initial 12-month assignment for successful applicants.
